How to check PF balance with UAN number?
EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) provides a member passbook through which you can check your EPF balance through UAN number. Your passbook will be given to you 6 hours after registering in the Unified Member Portal. Once your number is activated, follow the steps given below.
- Click on ‘’Our Services’’ button on EPFO portal and select ‘’For Employees’’.
- After that, find ‘’Member Passbook’’ from the Services menu.
- After this you have to enter your password and enter UAN numbers through which you can login.
- After this ‘’select Member ID’’ and select ‘’View Passbook’’.
- Now your personal details will appear on your screen.
- You click on the option of download passbook and print your passbook if you want to keep a copy of it.
How to Use the Umang EPFO App to Check Your PF Balance?
It has become easy for you to check provident fund balance. Government has released Umang APFO App Through which you can check your passbook, claim any file and through this app you can follow the claim. You can easily download this app from App Store or Google Play Store. In this app you will have to do a one time registration for which you will have to enter your UAN registered mobile number.
The process to verify your app transaction through Umang app is as follows:
- First of all download Umang App from App Store or Google Play Store.
- After this, click on the ‘’ALL services menu’’ and find the option of ‘’EPFO’’.

- For information about your account, send an SMS to EPFO from your registered phone number.

- You will get his/her response in English language as it is the default language.
- Add the language code so that you can get reply in that language.

To complete this process you will have to text to 7738299899 ‘’EPFOHO UAN ENG’’. Out of these, three letters ENG are preferred for your own language. Apart from this, there are some languages like English, Bengali, Gujarat, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
Checking the PF Balance via a Missed Call
If you have completed KYC for your account then you can also check your balance through missed call. All you have to do is make a missed call from your mobile phone that is registered with UAN to 9966044425. This phone will automatically disconnect after two rings and you will not have to pay any cost for this. After this, a text message will come on your mobile phone, the message will contain information about your balance and the recent contribution in the PF account.
How can I check my PF balance if my cell number is not registered?
All you need to check your PF balance is your password and UAN , Not your registered mobile number. You just have to follow the steps written below:
- First of all go to the website of PF Passbook portal website and enter the password and UAN .After this, select the particular PF account you want to examine and click on ‘’View PF Passbook Old’’.
- After this, select the particular PF account you want to examine and click on View PF Passbook Old.
- After this, click on ‘’View Passbook’’ by which you can see the yearly PF Contribution.
